Wednesday Late Start Schedule

Reminder Tomorrow is Late Start. Please remember to leave early for school when possible and to be patient as we begin the year. On late start Wednesdays, high school students should be at their assigned bus stop approximately 35-45 minutes later than the usual (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)/posted time for the routes.

Schedule Changes

Schedule change requests will be very limited this school year. Students will have to scan QR Codes/links and fill out the schedule change for their counselor. Only students have access to this form and has to be filled out with their school email address. Please see the below conditions that will be approved for schedule changes.
 Guidelines for Schedule Changes:
1. Student has received credit for this course
2. Student has not met the requirements to take the course
3. Student needs this course for graduation
4. Student has an overlapping course on the schedule
5. Student is missing a core content area course: English, Science, Math, or Social Studies
6. Schedules will be updated for students that were enrolled in summer school courses through Richland 2 or Virtual SC once grades are received.Â
Only the above will be considered. Students will have 5 days from August 8th to request a schedule change for semester skinny and semester block courses and 10 days from August 8th to request a schedule change for yearlong classes.  Â

Textbooks Distribution

For the 2024-2025 school year, we be issuing textbooks as we have done in the past through each of your students’ classes. Student textbooks will be distributed during the week of August 12-16th. Students will be escorted to the bookroom by each of their teachers at a scheduled time.

Spring Valley High School is looking for YOU 9TH GRADERS! Are you energetic, hard-working and excited to be a Viking? If so, then student council is the place for you! The freshman council officers and members will be tasked with planning events and activities for our students and staff to build school spirit. There will be an informational meeting during lunch in Room C139 on August 22nd.
KEY CLUB INTEREST MEETING

Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. Last school year, Spring Valley’s Key Club served 3,000 hours across the community. To learn more about Key Club, join us for our Interest Meeting on Friday, August 16th during lunch in the Auditorium.
