Cupcakes for Success
The Academy of Spring Valley presented its “Cupcakes for Success” program. All freshmen had an opportunity to get a free cupcake if they made 77% or above in all their courses on their first quarter report card. Congratulations on a job well done! Honor Roll Students Recognized for Academic Excellence
Mitch Uehling, owner of CiCi’s Pizza, partnered with Spring Valley High School to recognize all of the Super Star students who made the “A” and “A/B” honor roll. Students received a coupon for a free buffet as long as another was purchased with it. Congratulations to all these hard-working students! Thank you, CiCi’s for all you do for Spring Valley. 2023 USC Region II Science and Engineering Fair Results
Seventy-eight Discovery sophomores and juniors competed in the University of South Carolina Region II Science and Engineering Fair on March 10 th , 2023. Each of these students did an outstanding job presenting his/her research to the judges from the University of South Carolina and many other professional organizations. Approximately 200 students from area high schools were interviewed by judges to determine the best of the submitted projects.
Our Spring Valley students earned 62 awards! Shrihan Ganesh Babu (11) and Elianna Tracy (10) were awarded the Second Place Male and Female Presidential Awards, respectively, and were recommended to attend the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) as Observers in Dallas, TX in May. Senior SlideShow
Submissions for the Senior Slideshow will be accepted starting April 3rd. This is one of the highlights of the Senior Assembly. The cost for submission is $3 for one photo and $5 for three photos. Payment can be made to Ms. Bouchey in C-222. In the past seniors have turned in a series of pictures – baby, middle years, and a current picture – or some friend pics. No selfies! The deadline for submission is April 28th, but the sooner they are submitted, the better! **Please note that Ms. Bouchey will be out of town the week of April 18-22 so please plan accordingly.
