SV Student Participates in Arts Education Virtual Town Hall
Last week Nemisa Samanthapudi represented SV, Richland 2, and every student in the country as the student voice in a nationwide Arts Education Virtual Town Hall on the importance of arts education and her experiences and ideas on building a pipeline to foster future educators and strengthen our field. She took questions from all levels of educators and gave examples about her own leadership, and things we do at Spring Valley that foster our creative youth.She did such an amazing job and we want to thank her for representing Spring Valley and Richland 2 in such an incredible way.If you get a moment view her talk from the town hall recording below. Although different than our annual face-to-face Open House, we still wanted to provide all of you with the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about all of the wonderful things that are happening here at Spring Valley High School.

On February 25th we begin our first session of a 5-part virtual series Money Now for College.  As a parent, the reality of paying for college becomes more and more real each year. Currently, the College Board reports that a “moderate” college budget for an in-state public college averaged $24,061 per year. A moderate budget at a private college averaged $47,831 per year. Yikes! We hope you will join us for our 30-minute sessions from 6-6:30 p.m. Here’s the registration link please see the flyer above.
