Senior StuCo is looking for a few great designs for the seniors shirts this year! For details see the flyer below. The submission form will close on Friday, September 16th.
COLLEGE FAIR SEPTEMBER 13TH
SAT/ACT PREP WORKSHOP
Spring Valley High School will be offering a Prep workshop on Tuesday, September 27th. The SAT/ACT preparation course through Attest Test Prep is being offered this school year. It takes place on September, 27th in person. The session is from 8:45 a.m.- 1:30pm.
The concepts covered are Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre Calculus Grammatical Writing, Evidence Based Reading & Writing. Students will have breaks throughout and a half hour lunch break. Students can bring a lunch or bagged lunch will provided. Students attending the session will receive an excused absence for their participation. The deadline to sign up is September 20th. Class is limited to the first (75) to sign up. For Juniors & Seniors Only.

Society of Odin at Spring Valley Application
You can be a charter member of the Society of Odin if you meet the following criteria:
- Juniors
- Must have completed at least 1 year of honors English
- Must be enrolled in either Honors or AP during junior year
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Must have a 3.5 combined GPA on a 4.0 scale in previous English classes
- Seniors
- Must have completed at least 2 years of honors or AP English
- Must be enrolled in honors or AP during senior year
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Must have a 3.5 combined GPA on a 4.0 scale in previous English classes
All applicants must complete this online application and submit an unofficial transcript to verify grades and GPA. By September 12th.
As members of the Society of Odin, you will be required to participate in at least one service project and two community events planned by the group. If you fulfill membership obligations, you will be eligible for a graduation cord. There is a one time fee of $35 for your membership.
Are you a junior or a senior? Have you maintained a B+ in ALL of your science courses? Have you taken at least one honors science class during or prior to your junior year? If you are a junior, do you plan on taking at least one AP science course before graduating? If you are a senior, have you taken or are you currently enrolled in AP Biology, Biology II Honors, AP Chemistry, Chemistry II Honors, AP Physics, and/or AP Environmental Science? If so, then you may be eligible for membership in the Science National Honors Society.
