2021 Coca-Cola Scholars Semifinalist

Congratulations to Ronit Pathak, a senior at Spring Valley High School, on being selected as a Semifinalist in the prestigious 2021 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Only 1,609 Semifinalists were chosen among nearly 100,000 applicants this year because of their outstanding leadership, academic vitality, and deep dedication to their community. Ronit will be moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 merit scholarship.
Are You Playing A Spring Sport ?

Spring Sport Athletes and Parents:
The Athletic Department at Spring Valley High School now hosts their Pre-Participation Athletic Forms online with PlanetHS. This digital platform will allow you, and your student(s), to complete and access athletic forms via computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Click here to read the information document. Please read carefully and fully (Page 3 states who needs to do what for the spring–Please READ BEFORE creating an account) for instructions on creating an account and submitting forms.
When taking pictures of or scanning forms make sure they are on a flat surface before taking the picture and that the whole form is in the frame. If not your form may not be approved and will be sent back. If you have any questions please contact our athletic trainer Julie Sandy at jsandy@richland2.org.
Spring Valley Scarf Sale

With the weather turning cold and the holiday season upon us, what a great time for a nice warm scarf. The Viking Girls Soccer Booster Club is selling Soccer Scarves for $20 each. This is a double sided scarf with Spring Valley on one side and Vikings on the other. It is not sport specific so you can wear it to support all of the Spring Valley teams. Register for the USA Bio Olympiad Competition

Challenge yourself beyond the classroom and learn advanced biology concepts by registering for the USA Biology Olympiad Competition! Take a free test to see where you rank next to students like you around the country! The Science Olympiad Club has sponsored Spring Valley to partake in this nationwide competition. Welcome to the Kick off of the 2021 SV Lacrosse Season!

Conditioning is scheduled to begin on December 7th at 430pm At SV High School! Any interested student is welcome to come and work out for 1 hour each day Monday through Wednesday. This conditioning is NOT a mandatory requirement, however, in order to be in shape for the coming season…it will be important. This is also time for our Coach, Joey Thompson, to have some time to get to know our boys and assess their strengths!
There is a Parent/Student Informational Meeting next Wednesday (December 9th) at 730 pm. We will meet at St David’s Episcopal Church at 605 Polo Road. Please be sure to wear a mask to the meeting, and the Sanctuary is sectioned to allow for social distancing.
