Graduating SENIOR Procedures for Turning in Chromebooks

*Underclassmen will keep Chromebooks through the summer and will bring them back when school starts.

Prior to turning your Chromebook in you must do the following:

  1. Sign out, remove users, shut down the Chromebook, and charge it COMPLETELY.
  2. Remove from case and gently wipe down Chromebook.

(DO NOT bring your case. We do not want it and won’t take it, and it will only slow things down.)

  1. Find your charger, remove stickers, and wrap it up appropriately. Wrap your charger like this.

NOTE: If you do not bring your charger, you will be charged $25.00. We will only take your charger WITH your Chromebook. You cannot turn in a Chromebook one day and a charger another day. We will not reverse fees later. Insurance does not cover lost chargers.

  1. PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR SCHOOL GOOGLE ACCOUNT & DOCUMENTS. HERE IS WHAT TO DO.

Wifi Hotspot

Are you a senior with a Wifi Hotspot? If so, you will need to turn it in with your Chromebook or a $50 charge will be added to your fees. Make sure that it has the cord and hotspot included. Missing parts will be added to fees accordingly.

Important Considerations

**If you do not turn in your Chromebook by the last designated day, you will  be charged $350.00. (If you need your Chromebook for summer school and want to turn it in later, we can work with you, but you must notify me: aclutts@richland2.org.)

***If you still need your Chromebook to complete  AP exams, credit recovery, etc., DO NOT turn your Chromebook in until they are finished. We can’t give a Chromebook back to you after you return it

Sparkleberry Lane Construction

We wanted to let all of our families know that we will be experiencing some traffic issues on Sparkleberry Lane in front of the school over the next 2-3 months.  Richland County will be making updates to the gas lines, storm drains, and adding sidewalks.  Work crews will do their best to minimize the impact to arrival and departure times at school.  If you are a car rider or student driver, we strongly encourage you to arrive early to school to make sure you are on time for class.

After School Tutoring

We will offer both on-campus and virtual tutoring options this year.  Offering both platforms allows us to provide more options for students to get academic assistance after school.  Please visit the SVHS Tutoring website for a complete schedule of the tutoring opportunities.

A special thank you goes out to the Spring Valley Education Foundation for funding this important initiative.
