Graduating SENIOR Procedures for Turning in Chromebooks
*Underclassmen will keep Chromebooks through the summer and will bring them back when school starts.
Prior to turning your Chromebook in you must do the following:
- Sign out, remove users, shut down the Chromebook, and charge it COMPLETELY.
- Remove from case and gently wipe down Chromebook.
(DO NOT bring your case. We do not want it and won’t take it.)
- Find your charger and wrap it up appropriately. Wrap your charger like this.
NOTE: If you do not bring your charger, you will be charged $25.00. We will only take your charger WITH your Chromebook. You cannot turn in a Chromebook one day and a charger another day. We will not reverse fees later. Insurance does not cover lost chargers.
Wifi Hotspot
Are you a senior with a Wifi Hotspot? If so, you will need to turn it in with your Chromebook or a $50 charge will be added to your fees. Make sure that it has the cord and hotspot included. Missing parts will be added to fees accordingly.
Important Considerations
*If you still need your Chromebook to complete assignments like AP exams, credit recovery, etc., DO NOT turn your Chromebook in until they are finished. We can’t give a Chromebook back to you after you return it.
**If you do not turn in your Chromebook by the last designated day, you will be charged $350.00. (If you need your Chromebook for summer school and want to turn it in later, we can work with you.)
Chromebook Repairs for Underclassmen

Attention SVHS Underclassmen: If you have damages or problems with your Chromebook and want to have it repaired prior to summer break, please bring it to the Tech Office in the Multipurpose Room before May 20th.
Tech Office Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm. We are located outside the MPR on the second floor.
IN-PERSON/FACE-TO-FACE STUDENTS:
- If you have a Chromebook that requires a repair and you are an in-person student, you may bring it to the Tech Office before class or at lunch on a day when you are at SHVS.
- You may also bring it during class with a pass from a teacher.
VIRTUAL STUDENTS:
- We ask that virtual students not miss live classes to visit the tech office.
- If you are a virtual student, you may bring it between 8:30 am – 9 am Monday – Thursday or 12-3:30 on 1/2 day Fridays.
- On asynchronous days you may bring it between 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
*Please keep in mind that Chromebook insurance only covers your FIRST incident of damage. The fees on the chart below will apply to any school-issued Chromebook if you did not purchase or have already used the Chromebook insurance this school year.
