Coca-Cola Semifinalists

Eileen Chen and Jillian McNally, two students at Spring Valley High School have been named a Semifinalist for the 2022 class of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. These 1,617 students were selected from over 68,000 applicants from across the country to continue through our selection process based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in school and community activities.
They are currently submitting their Semifinalist applications to be reviewed by Coca-Cola Program Reading Committee. After this review, 250 will advance as Regional Finalists, with 150 becoming Coca-Cola Scholars and receiving a $20,000 college scholarship.
A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 2022 class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 6,600 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $78 million in scholarships over the course of 34 years.

Virtual SC Exams will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 through Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Students must arrive promptly at 4:00 pm before testing begins. Please review the information below to determine your exam schedule:

Parent University Virtual Session for Freshmen

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Parent University Virtual Session for Freshmen Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
The freshmen classroom registration sessions with Mrs. Spain will begin December 6, 2021. In addition to learning more about your child’s graduation status and discussing their future plans, take advantage of this virtual session which is being offered by the College and Career Center (CCC). We will introduce the importance of the 10 ten-point grading scale and how every point matters, review a sample high school transcript, provide tutorial resources for our students, and discuss the credits needed for continued promotion. We will also share our expertise on ACT/SAT and ASVAB testing along with optimizing the Naviance college and career platform.
