SV Alumni Spotlight: Maximiliano Hernandez

Spring Valley High School student making news at Clemson University as he advocates for the art of poetry in other languages. He spoke elegantly to the younger generation about the benefits of Declamation and learning other languages at the 50th CU Declamation ceremony.

Hernandez family is proud to be part of Clemson University history passing down the love of poetry and Spanish language from generation to generation as they continue to advocate for advancing language arts.

This mother-son team is proud to represent Spring Valley High at Clemson. Maximiliano Hernandez is an SVHS graduate of 2023. He is pursuing a BA in Construction Science with a minor in Spanish.  Mother, Zuleika Hernandez, has been a Spanish teacher at SVHS & RD2 VHS for over 20+ years, and Clemson alumni with a BA in Spanish and international Business.  This family is full of Viking pride with the following Spring Valley alumni: Uncle Edwin Sanchez (offering Spanish services at Nationwide on two notch rd, & parent-volunteer SVHS football and other sports) along with cousins Nicholas, Jacob, Madison, and Matthew Sanchez. Federal Impact Aid Form

“The Federal Impact Aid Survey is back again! Impact Aid is a federal program designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students. Federally connected students are children of active duty uniformed services personnel, children who live on federal property, and children whose parents work on federal property. We need your assistance in identifying students with federal connections. This year bright green paper forms will be sent home with your child. The survey can be completed in 5 minutes or less and must be completed for each of your students. We encourage all families to complete it as soon as possible to ensure we have accurate data before the closing date.

Spring Valley students received this form on November 27th during 3rd period. We are asking them to return the forms to their teacher or the Main Office by December 5th.
