Michelin Industry Partner of the Year & Michelin Technical Scholar

Melisa Anderson, Site Hourly Recruiting Manager recently accepted an award from Spring Valley High School recognizing Michelin as the Industry Partner of the Year for our School to Work and Tech Scholar Programs. Spring Valley was one of the first schools to partner with us in the School to Work program. Congratulations to our Michelin teams who work hard to create and drive success through community partnerships. Spring Valley High School Earth Club build composting bins

The Spring Valley High School Earth Club built two composting bins using upcycled pallets during an April workshop. Composting helps reduce food waste and manage yard debris while creating a rich soil amendment for gardens.

According to officials, Jennifer Mancke, Green Step Schools mentor for the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District (RSWCD), worked with the students to help build the composite bins. A Conservation Education Mini-Grant from RSWCD provided funding for the project.

After School Tutoring

We will offer both on-campus and virtual tutoring options this year.  Offering both platforms allows us to provide more options for students to get academic assistance after school.  Please visit the SVHS Tutoring website for a complete schedule of the tutoring opportunities.

A special thank you goes out to the Spring Valley Education Foundation for funding this important initiative.
