Viking Update: October 13th-16th

🏆 STATE CHAMPION! 💚💛

Congratulations to Viking student-athlete Farrah Ballouli, who won the 5A Girls 100-Yard Freestyle State Championship last night!

Farrah also earned Runner-Up in the 200-Yard Freestyle, making it an outstanding night in the pool.

We are so proud of you, Farrah! Viking Proud! 🏊‍♀️🏆💚💛

Spring Valley Student Artwork on Display at SC State Fair

Spring Valley has thirty-seven students’ artwork on display at the SC State Fair this year, and the following students earned awards. They will be recognized at the Cantey Building at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11.

Serving Those Who Served: Free Sneakers for Veterans

Richland Two families are invited to share this free opportunity for veterans! Samaritan’s Feet, with the support of Southeastern Freight Lines, will serve 250 veterans on Wednesday, November 11. Each registered veteran will receive a brand-new pair of shoes and socks, be personally fitted by volunteers and community partners, and receive a Hope Tote with an encouraging Hope Note.

Beanstack is back for students and faculty to log reading! Beanstack is a digital platform and mobile app used by libraries to track reading habits, manage reading challenges, and motivate people to read. Our monthly reading challenge Hallow-read is happening now. Prizes and rewards will be available for those who finish the monthly challenges.
