Miss Spring Valley Pageant

Miss Spring Valley is BACK! We are so excited to see the ladies of SVHS show off their talent, poise and intelligence in this year’s pageant! If you are interested in auditioning to represent the Vikings OR getting involved as a Miss SV Chair, please attend the upcoming interest meeting on Thursday, October 5th at 4:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Congratulations to Spring Valley student Xavier Sanchez he has been accepted into the USC Power Forward program.

The Dominion Energy Power Forward Program is an innovative pipeline program between the Darla Moore School of Business and high school students in Richland County School District One and Richland County School District Two.

The program provides a path to enrollment at the Darla Moore School of Business, career mentoring, field studies, conferences and other programming for local high school students. The program seeks to pique students’ interest in business careers while linking them to the unmatched resources at the world-renowned Moore School. 

Activities and resources available to program participants include:

  • Lunch ā€˜nā€™ Learns
  • Moore School faculty and staff mentorship
  • Site visits to the Moore School and other businesses
  • Participation in academic challenges and competitions

October is Key Club’s Anti-Bullying Month. Keep an eye out for more information regarding events each week.

Trashion Fashion Halloween Costume Contest

EAO is bringing back the Trashion Fashion Show with a twist – It’s a Halloween Costume Contest!

Are you interested in making an upcycled Halloween costume? Do you love to repurpose what has fallen into disuse? Can you make something from anything and love a good challenge? Join the Environmental Assistance Organization on October 23rd in the Auditorium from 6:30 -8:00! Fill this form out with your team and get to work. Clubs, classes, and student teams are all welcome. All proceeds will go to our Special Education department and the Maui Strong Fund to help recovery efforts from the wildfires disaster in August.

Your team members will be asked to help sell tickets ($5 each) for Maui victims. Please see Mrs. Zweimiller (D204) for details before school or at lunch!
