Discovery Students Excel at the Virtual 2021 University of South Carolina Region II Science and Engineering Fair

Sixty-nine Discovery students competed in the University of South Carolina Region II Science and Engineering Fair on March 26th, 2021. Each of these students did an outstanding job presenting his/her research virtually to the judges even with some technical challenges. Approximately 150 students from area high schools were interviewed by judges to determine the best of the submitted projects. Our Spring Valley students earned 30 awards! Christopher Li (11) and Sanjana Parise (11) were awarded the Male and Female Presidential Awards, respectively, and were selected to compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) being held virtually in May. Please see the complete list of awards that our students earned.  Congratulations to all of our students, their families, and their research teachers, Ms. Lindsey Rega, Mrs. Michelle Spigner, and Dr. Michelle Wyatt on their outstanding work!
