August 18th Viking Update

Congratulations to our 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year

Today Mr. Julian Hale our 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year, received his Teacher of the Year ring. We are appreciative and thankful for our partnership with Jostens and Thomas “Dusty” Rhodes Graduation Services.

PSAT REMINDERS

This Fall, all third year Juniors will have the opportunity to participate in the CollegeBoard PSAT/NMSQT on Thursday, October 26th.  This Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a standardized test that is co-sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the United States.  The test will measure the students knowledge and skill in reading, writing and math.  Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT may meet the requirements to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

As juniors, this assessment is optional and the cost will not be covered by the District or the State.  The cost for the test is $18.  Any student who may be interested in completing this assessment as a Junior must sign up for the opportunity.  If you would like to take the NMSQT this Fall you must complete, the google form sent to you by Mr. Dundr by Monday, August 28th at 8am.  Failure to do so will result in the inability to test.  If you have any questions, please contact the School Testing Coordinator, Mr. Joshua Dundr.
