🏫💚 Fall Open House Was a Great Success! 💛

Thank you to all of our Viking families who joined us for Spring Valley High School’s Fall Open House! Our teachers, counselors, administrators, and staff truly enjoyed the opportunity to welcome our families, make connections, and spend time with the people who help make our school community so special.

A special thank you to NewSpring Church for providing dinner for our faculty and staff before Open House. Your generosity and support were greatly appreciated!

We are grateful for everyone who helped make the evening such a success. 💚💛

🎒💚 SVHS Receives Generous Donation from the South Carolina Department of Revenue

Spring Valley High School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the South Carolina Department of Revenue for generously donating school supplies, personal hygiene products, and snacks for students who may be in need.

These donations will help us provide additional support to our students when it is needed most. We truly appreciate the South Carolina Department of Revenue for thinking of Spring Valley and investing in the well-being and success of our students.

A special thank you to Ms. Nikka DeWitt for contacting us and to her co-workers for taking the time to deliver the supplies.

🎓💚 AVID Scholars Launch a New Tradition at Spring Valley!

Spring Valley High School’s AVID Scholars are starting a new tradition with the AAA Award — AVID About AVID Appreciation!

This recognition celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to support our students in reaching their highest potential while also encouraging the mission of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID).

To close out August, the Class of 2027 AVID Seniors selected the first four recipients:

🌟 Mrs. Angel Coleman — Director of Counseling
🌟 Mr. Cristian Ugro — Latin Teacher
🌟 Ms. Chloe Fox — AVID Tutor
🌟 The SVHS Front Office

Each recipient received a placard featuring the Class of 2027 motto, an award certificate, and a special personal delivery from our AVID Scholars.

Congratulations to our first AAA Award recipients, and thank you for the many ways you support, encourage, and invest in our students! 💚💛

Please plan to leave home a little earlier than usual and allow extra time when arriving at school. We appreciate your patience as we begin the new school year. Arriving early will support the safety screening process and help students report to class on time without missing instruction.
